Black History Month Presentations

Thursday, February 7        @ 4 pm: North Highlands Library (Hip Hop to the Drums)
Break it down with the latest hip-hop moves to the grooves of the African drums. Big dance-off at the end of the program combines West African and hip-hop moves.

Saturday, February 9     @ 2 pm: Southgate Library (Hip Hop to the Drums)

Thursday, February 14
       @ 4 pm: Del Paso Library (Dance & Drum for Joy)
A joyous drum and dance circle  tailored for children, families or adults. Everyone participates.  All instruments provided

    @ 4 pm: Arden Dimick Library (Dance & Drum for Joy)

: Del Paso Library (A Quilting  Story) 

Fenix storytellers chronicle the lives of women of African descent through a series of dramatic monologues set to haunting drumbeats and against a backdrop of colorful handmade quilts.
