Fenix Drum and Dance Company is a family centered performance company specializing in traditional music and dance from West Africa and the Caribbean. Established two decades ago by the mother/daughter team of Angela J, James and Olivia Yasmin. Fenix strives to keep traditional arts alive through performance and education.
Fenix’s multi-generational, multi-ethnic group performs at a variety of fairs and festivals in Sacramento and surrounding areas. In addition, Fenix’s educational outreach arm conducts school assemblies, lecture demonstrations and residencies. Fenix can also be booked for private parties and corporate events.
